Day two in Delray was full of mini golf, ice cream, and me almost dying several times in the 80 degree heat.
Unfortunately I was not blessed with the gift of heat tolerance, which made mini golfing under the hot Florida sun rather challenging. Matt’s family had not yet left on their cruise so they joined in on the fun, and we played a slow 18 holes.
Unsurprisingly, I came in last score-wise, but my ultimate survival of the heat qualified me as a winner in my books.
That evening we headed out to Deerfield Beach to have dinner at one of Matt’s parents’ favorite spots, JB’s on the Beach. And it quite literally is, on the beach. Unfortunately the weather was a bit ominous, but that didn’t stop Matt and I from paying $1 each to walk out onto the pier and take selfies on selfies before dinner.
The food at JB’s was great (especially the bread, sweet Moses that stuff was incredible), but the best part of the evening was, without a doubt, the views of the water from the pier.
