Our Sunday in Delray was definitely one of my favorite days of the entire trip. We signed up for a two hour yacht cruise along the Intracoastal Waterway, which brought us through Delray Beach and Boca Raton.
The houses in Boca were incredible; as we learned from our trip to the Boca mall earlier in the week, there’s definitely no shortage of funds in that town. The waterfront houses were essentially mansions and each had one or two (or three) boats and/or jet skis. Basically, it made me feel more poor than ever! (Kidding, kidding… but really.)
The cruise was a really fun way to spend the afternoon and we saw some really interesting places, including the former CEO of Enron’s house. However, we saw no sea cows (aka manatees), which I was slightly disappointed about.
And, as always, we took a plethora of selfies.
Later that night, we headed back to Deerfield Beach to take advantage of the clear skies. The weather was much nicer than it had been when we were there at JB’s a few days ago, so we got – you guessed it – even more pictures! And, surprise surprise, mostly selfies!
We had a delicious meal at Cafe Med, an Italian restaurant with live guitar and a great beach view.
Sitting by the beach at night while the breeze gently shook through the palm trees was the perfect end to a perfect day. (Don’t even care how cliche that may seem – 100% true.)
